LAHORE: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) futsal level-I coaching course got underway here at the FIFA Football House on Tuesday. The five-day course, which will run until October 5, has 16 shortlisted participants.
Leading the course is AFC Elite Futsal Instructor Nasser Saleh, who is well-known for his previous role as the head coach of the Iranian national futsal team. Assisting Saleh is Muhammad Raza Fazli, the Head of Futsal at the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
On the opening day, Saleh shared his vast experience in futsal coaching and provided training on crucial tactics and skills. “This is my second time in Pakistan for the Futsal Level-I Course. I hope the participants will learn and gain a lot of knowledge about futsal that will help them in their future endeavors,” Saleh commented.
This coaching course is part of the PFF’s ongoing initiatives to enhance the skills of coaches and elevate the overall standard of futsal in Pakistan. By bringing in international expertise, the federation aims to create a stronger foundation for the sport’s development in the country. This course represents a significant opportunity for local coaches to learn from top-tier instructors and gain insights into modern futsal coaching techniques.
