KMC research conference to begin tomorrow
PESHAWAR: The 3rd International KMC Research Conference, to be organized by Khyber Medical College (KMC), is set to take place on the 2nd and 3rd of October in Peshawar.
The organsiers said on Monday the event marks a milestone in the research and development of the health sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, drawing experts, researchers, educators, and students from other parts of the country and abroad.
Preparations for the conference are in full swing under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mahmood Aurangzeb, Dean of KMC, with Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmed serving as the chairman, and Associate Prof. Dr. Iqbal Haider as the key organizer.
The theme for this year’s conference, “Research Culture - Bridging the Gap between Classrooms and Clinical Pathways,” will highlight the connection between academic research and practical healthcare applications.
The moot will feature a range of activities including scientific sessions, workshops, poster presentations, and panel discussions. Participants will gain exposure to the latest advances in medical research and healthcare innovation.
In the lead-up to the event, over 50 workshops will be held across various hospitals and medical institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, involving doctors, faculty, trainee physicians, and healthcare professionals.
These workshops aim to enhance knowledge and foster collaboration within the medical community.The core objectives of the conference include promoting research in healthcare, nurturing young researchers, and encouraging innovative approaches to medical challenges.This year, KMC aims to uphold the high standards of the event through collaborations with both local and international institutions.
