Muqam asks Gandapur to hold rallies in KP’s volatile southern districts
MINGORA: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFFRON), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam said on Sunday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had failed to address masses’ problems despite the third consecutive stint of the party in the province.
Addressing party workers at Sangota here, he said that the PTI had deceived masses on the name of so-called change. He said that unnecessary experiments conducted by the PTI government had ruined the health and education sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“The PTI leadership should have focused on resolution of people’s problems, promoting governance and improvement in health and education sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa instead of using taxpayers’ money on agitation protests and irrational politics,” he added.
He advised KP CM to hold public meetings at southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where law and order situation was deteriorating and people couldn’t go out of homes after evening. Instead of concentrating on improving the law and order situation in southern districts, he said the stories of poor governance and corruption have started emerging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that recent corruption allegations by the provincial ministers and advisors against each other had exposed the PTI truth and claims of free-corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Muqam, who is also the president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, said that KP CM lacked vision for people welfare and that confrontational politics was
his focus.
He said that PTI protest rallies and hooliganism was tantamount to treason against the state. He claimed that KP government resources were being used in PTI public gatherings at Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
He claimed the people of Pakistan knew about protestors who were working on a foreign agenda. He said that CM KP had no authority to hold talks with the Afghan government on any issue, rather it was a mandate of the federal government.
Muqam said that the government had adopted zero tolerance against terrorism, and no one would be allowed to disrupt the peace of Swat again. He said the people of Swat had rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism, which paved the way for restoration of peace in the valley. He said that law and order was the top priority of the government and targeted action would be taken whenever terrorists were found anywhere.
