Rallies slam Israel over Hezbollah chief’s killing

PESHAWAR: Rallies were staged across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday against the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrullah in an Israeli air strike in Lebanon.

In the provincial capital, the members of the Imamia Students Organisation held a rally outside the Peshawar Press Club.Carrying portraits of Hassan Nasrullah, the protesters, including women and children, chanted slogans against Israel.

The speakers said Israel had been on a killing spree for quite some time and there was a surge in its crimes since October 7, last year when the entity started aggression against the Palestinians in Gaza and other occupied territories.

In Parachinar, a group of local people, including Jalal Bangash, Syed Tajammul Hussain, Zahid Hussain and others, participated in the protest outside the Parachinar Press Club.Carrying banners and placards, the participants in the rally condemned Israel for its action and asked the Muslims to boycott Israeli products.

They said that the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrullah was a cowardly act on the part of the Zionist regime.They said the martyred leader had worked for the liberation of Palestine throughout his life.

The protesters called for unity among the Muslims to address the prevailing challenges.PARACHINAR: The residents here on Sunday staged a protest against the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrullah in an Israeli air strike in Beirut.

The protesters said the slain had worked for the liberation of Palestine his entire life.
