QUETTA: Agha Khalid Shah, a central leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), was killed in a shooting by armed assailants, while his cousin was injured.
According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday near Killi Geo on Kirani Road, where assailants opened fire on Agha Khalid Shah, resulting in his instant death. His cousin, Gharib Shah, sustained injuries. The attackers managed to flee, and police arrived at the site to transfer the body to hospital, where necessary procedures were completed before handing it over to the family. Following the incident, a large number of BNP leaders gathered at Civil Hospital Quetta.
According to Ghulam Nabi Marri, a member of the BNP Central Executive Committee and district president of BNP Quetta, the funeral prayer will be held on Sunday at Killi Geo. He stated that the BNP will not forget Agha Khalid Shah’s sacrifices and demanded that the police arrest the perpetrators promptly and ensure they are brought to justice.
