CM Khelta Punjab Games to be held in three tiers

LAHORE : The U-22 competitions CM Khelta Punjab Games would be held in three tiers – inter-club at district level, inter-district at divisional level and inter-divisional at provincial level.

This information was shared by DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal while presiding over a meeting of divisional and district sports officers of the province at National Hockey Stadium.

The meeting was convened to review the registration process of Khelta Punjab Games. Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Director Youth Affairs Rana Nadeem Anjum and Deputy Director Ata ur Rehman attended the meeting in person while all divisional and district sports officers participated in the meeting through video link.

Revealing more details of the event, DG Youth Affairs said that in the first phase, the inter-club competitions of CM Khelta Punjab will be conducted from Oct 2 to 11, inter-district events will be organised from Oct 16 to 29 while the third and final phase of inter-division games will take place between Nov 2 to 7. “The event will wind up with a grand closing ceremony having Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz as the chief guest at Punjab Stadium on Nov 7,” he added.
