LAHORE : The University of Management and Technology (UMT) hosted a special seminar on the topic of the ‘2024 US Presidential Elections and its Impact on Pakistan’ here on Saturday.

Sardar Masood Khan along with other speakers provided in-depth analysis of the potential outcomes of the US elections and their implications for Pakistan.

Masood Khan shared that the evolving US political landscape and the results of the presidential elections will play a crucial role in shaping future US policies.

He emphasised that the outcome will have a significant impact on Pakistan's strategic partnerships.

Lt-Gen (retd) Javed Hassan remarked that the US shapes its policies based on its own interests but geographically, Pakistan remains important to them. He expressed that the 2024 US election results are unlikely to drastically change US-Pakistan relations, as the US prioritise its interests regardless of which government is in power.

Suhail Warraich pointed out that the US establishes its relationship with Pakistan based on its concerns and where mutual interests align, Pakistan will get benefit. He added that Pakistan must formulate a balanced foreign policy to safeguard its interests.
