ISLAMABAD: Bangladesh edged out Pakistan 8-7 in a penalty shootout to make it to the final of the SA Under-17 Soccer Championship semis in Bhutan on Saturday.
According to reports reaching here, Pakistan were leading by two goals going into the final 15 minutes of the scheduled play when Bangladesh bounced back and scored back-to-back goals to take the game into a shootout.
In never-ending shootouts, Bangladesh and Pakistan both scored 5 each on the first five penalty shots with Pakistan missing the third sudden-death shootout while Bangladesh scored it easily to take the team into the final.
