ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered removal of PTI leader Senator Shibli Faraz’s name from the ECL within a week.
IHC’s Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri heard the contempt of court petition on the issue of not removing the name of Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shibli Faraz from the exit control list. The IHC ordered that the name of Shibli Faraz be removed from the ECL within a week. During the hearing, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri said if the court order is not implemented, the Interior Secretary should appear at the next hearing. It should be noted that Shibli Faraz had filed a contempt of court petition for not removing his name from ECL on the court order.
The show cause notice was issued under Section 7 and Section 5 of the PEEDA Act, 2006
