Hand grenade blast kills boy in Jhang

JHANG: A 10-year-old boy was killed in a hand grenade explosion in Qadirpur police limits here on Friday.
Saud of Mauza Kalri was collecting firewood when he saw a hand grenade near the river belt. He picked the hand grenade and it exploded in his hand, killing him on the spot. Rescue 1122 staffers reached the spot and shifted the body to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
According to security experts, two hand grenades, 11 detonators and other explosives were recovered from there, which were dumped for terrorism activities. When contacted, the SHO and the DPO’s PRO did not attend phones.
