LAHORE: In a surprising turn of events at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Connection Camp, national cricketers openly questioned the board’s No Objection Certificate (NOC) policy for participation in foreign leagues, sources revealed.
A cricketer confided that during a dialogue with PCB officials, players acknowledged their recent underperformance but emphasised the need for mental peace to improve their game. “We admit our performance hasn’t been up to par, but to perform well, we need peace of mind,” one player reportedly stated.
The cricketers called for a review of the NOC policy for foreign leagues, highlighting inconsistencies in its application. “The NOC rules seem to differ from player to player,” a source quoted a player as saying. “The PCB often delays NOC decisions and sometimes doesn’t respond at all.”
