This letter refers to the news report ‘Detailed judgment issued in reserved seats case’ (September 24, 2024). This reminds me of an example of a glass of water filled up to mid-level. While some may describe it as half full, others may call it half empty. In quantitative terms, both groups would be saying exactly the same thing.
However, qualitatively speaking, the two statements are worlds apart in that while one would be emphasizing the degree of fullness, the other is pointing out the state of emptiness. Now, should the group describing the glass as half-full accuse the other one of propagating negativity?
