JI launches membership campaign

MANSEHRA: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan local chapter on Thursday launched the membership driver in the district.
“We have initiated a membership drive in the district and PK-40 and people from different walks of life have are visiting camps and stalls to join our party,” Mohammad Asim Shahzad, the emir of the party for PK-40, told reporters.
He said that membership camps and stalls were established at Shinkiari, Ichrian, Battal and Chaterplain.“Hundreds of youth and locals joined JI paying tributes to our party’s central emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman,” he said. He said that his party’s recent movements launched against inflation and electricity tariffs, and high taxes on the salaried class had attracted people to join JI.
