Zardari, Nawaz, Gillani: Toshakhana reference may go back to NAB
Judge said all parties were in agreement that this case was not within jurisdiction of this court and reserved judgment till October 14
ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court No3 Judge Abida Sajjad has reserved her decision on a request to send back a reference of Toshakhana vehicles against President Asif Ali Zardari, former PMs Nawaz Sharif, Yousuf Raza Gillani and others.
During the hearing on Wednesday, Nawaz’s lawyer Qazi Misbah Al Hasan and pleader Rana Irfan and Zardari’s lawyer Farooq H Naik appeared. They read a NAB amendment law and said that after these amendments, the case did not fall in the jurisdiction of this court. The case is of Rs80.5 million that are less than Rs500 million. Farooq requested that the case be returned to the chairman NAB.
The judge said all parties were in agreement that this case was not within the jurisdiction of this court and reserved the judgment till October 14.
