BoK signs agreement for e-stamping project

PESHAWAR: Bank of Khyber (BoK), Board of Revenue Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) have signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) in Peshawar to initiate the rollout of the e-Stamping project, where BoK will act as a collecting agent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

A press release said the ceremony was attended by Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, Minister for Revenue and Estate, KP; Ikramullah Khan, Senior Member, Board of Revenue; Aamir Latif, Member Board Revenue (Admin); Irfan Saleem Awan, Managing Director/CEO & CFO, (A) BoK; Sher Muhammad, Group Head Conventional Banking, BoK; and Akif Khan, CEO, KPITB, among other senior officials from the KP Government, KPBIT, Board of Revenue KP, and BoK.

This initiative supports the government’s commitment to digitizing services and streamlining business operations throughout the province.Leveraging technological advancements, the e-stamping project allows citizens to conveniently obtain stamp papers within minutes.

Simplifying this process through a user-friendly online platform provided by BoK, not only saves time but also enhances public accessibility. Moreover, this initiative significantly reduces the potential for fraudulent practices and government revenue leakage by digitizing records and ensuring transparent transactions.

The phased rollout of the e-stamping project across the province aims to boost revenue collection and improve data reconciliation.Citizens can easily participate by generating a Challan on the web portal, paying the specified duty at any BoK branch, and immediately receiving their E-Stamp certificate at the same location.
