Poor man seeks govt’s help for treatment

PESHAWAR: A poor patient has appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to help him with his medical treatment.

Zulfiqar Ali, a poor patient and a resident of Muslimabad in Bakhshi Pul, Peshawar, said that he has been suffering from liver ailment for the last several years.He said that he spent all that he had on his medical treatment but his condition deteriorated with time despite hectic efforts by the doctors.The patient said that his further treatment was now impossible in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the doctors had advised him to visit a hospital in Lahore. “I hail from a humble family and cannot afford such a huge amount of Rs4 million for my liver treatment in Lahore,” Zulfikar Ali said while narrating his ordeal to the media.
