LAHORE:Some 54 personnel of the Multan region have been promoted to the next ranks. According to the spokesperson for the Punjab Police, 18 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) have been promoted to Sub-Inspectors, 18 Head Constables to ASIs, and 18 Constables to Head Constables.
A ceremony to present new ranks to the promoted officers officially will be organised shortly. Inspector General Police (IGP), Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted cops and stated that this year over 2,000 cops were promoted to next ranks. The departmental promotion board meeting chaired by the RPO Multan was held the other day.
