LDA seals 112 buildings

LAHORE:Continuing its operations against illegal constructions/illegal commercial buildings, LDA teams on Wednesday sealed 112 buildings by conducting operations in different areas.

The operation was conducted on the orders of LDA DG Tahir Farooq and was supervised by Chief Town Planner-I. The LDA teams conducted operations on Jail Road, Hamdard Chowk Township and adjoining areas and sealed 65 properties while 47 properties were sealed by LDA team in Sabzazar, Shadman, Wahdat Road and Tollinton Market. Asad Zaman said that 17 properties were sealed for illegal commercial use in Sabzazar, 10 properties were sealed on Main Boulevard Shadman and Tollinton Market, 20 properties were sealed on Wahdat Road, 20 properties in a housing scheme and 45 properties on Jail Road Township.

He said these properties included hospitals, clinics, banks, grocery stores, well-known brands, schools, offices, bakeries, private banks and other properties.

Meanwhile, a grand general auction for the sale and lease of 35 sites including petrol pumps, education sites and public utility sites was organised by LDA in which the authority generated revenue of more than Rs 1.2billion.
