ISLAMABAD: A grand ceremony was held at an Islamabad hotel the other day for the P@SHA ICT Awards, where the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) (the representative body of Pakistan’s IT industry) honoured companies providing outstanding services in the IT sector.
The event’s chief guest was Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shiza Fatima Khawaja, while several notable personalities from the IT industry were also present, reported Geo News.
In the Consumer Category, the ‘Dil Ka Rishta’ app won the Gold Award for ‘Best Consumer Marketplace App’. This year, a total of 1,198 applications were received for the nomination of the awards, out of which 33 companies playing a significant role in the IT sector were awarded in the gold category and 47 companies were awarded on the basis of merit.
These awards were to be selected from the top categories of Consumer Services, Business Services, Inclusion Aid Community and Student Innovation.
A panel of 15 renowned IT industry professionals served as judges for the awards and selected the best candidates on merit. Despite being a relatively new startup, “Dil Ka Rishta” has quickly established itself as a successful digital platform, proven by this accolade. The app dedicated this achievement to its users, whose trust has enabled the creation of 4.5 million profiles and facilitated 20,000 marriages.
