ISLAMABAD: The 3-month relief of up to 200 units by the federal government will end from September 30.
According to sources, the basic tariff of customers up to 200 units per month will increase to Rs7.12 per unit from October 1. They said that the tariff for unprotected consumers up to 100 units will increase by Rs7.11 to Rs23.59 and the tariff for unprotected from 101 to 200 units will increase by Rs7.12 to Rs30.07. The tariff for protected customers from one to 100 units will increase by Rs3.95 to Rs11.69 and the tariff for protected customers from 101 to 200 units will increase by Rs4.10 to Rs 14.16.
According to sources, the tariff per unit for lifeline users up to 50 units per month will remain at Rs3.95, while the per unit tariff for lifeline users from 51 to 100 units per month will remain at Rs7.74.
