ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has dismissed 48 employees recruited on temporary basis, under the rightsizing policy.
The employees had been performing duties as Sub-Engineer, IT Technician, Assistant, LDC, Sales Assistant and other positions on the basis of monthly or 21-day booking from 2023. Deputy Controller Personnel Jawad Ahmad Qureshi has issued the notification of dismissal of the employees after approval from the DG. The order of dismissal shall be deemed effective immediately. Among the employees who have been dismissed are IT technician Abdul Aziz, Sikandar Hayat, Nadeem Nawaz, Miss Asma Bibi, Asher Naeem, LDC Saqib Ashraf, Ahmed Hasan, Ahmed Raza Khan, Amar Yasir, Assistant Imran Khor Sheed, Miss Rabia Khaliq, Fauzia Naz, Abid Ali and Hamza Ashfaq, Stenotypist Muhammad Shoaib, SBE Engineer Muhammad Usman, Sub-engineer Zia-ul-Rehman and Sales Assistant Abdul Waheed Chana. Some employees in skilled category include Anjam Chaudhry, Saima Salamat, Mumtaz Ali, Faiz Rasool, Hasan Kamran, Mohammad Zeeshan, while unskilled employees include There are unskilled employees including Muhammad Siddique, Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Liaqat, Raja Huzaifa bin Rukhsar, Nagina Naz, Abdul Rahman. The naib qasids include Naeemur Rahman, Tufail Muhammad and Muhammad Hussain. The semi-skilled employees included Noman Shafiq, Saubia Tabasim, Munib Ibrahim, Inaamullah, Muhammad Bilal, Wajahat Mirza, Majid Ali, Muhammad Bilal, Intikhab Hussain, Ghulam Zaki, Ali Raza, Muhammad Sher Afgan and Shakir Jahangir Abbasi.
