LAHORE:Under the supervision of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz are actively engaged in delivering digital services to citizens.
According to the Punjab police spokesman, more than 518,000 citizens have obtained character certificates, over 835,000 have undergone general police verification, 4,184 have had police verification for job, and over 138,000 have registered for tenancy agreements. The IGP stated that the police will enhance its performance based on feedback received from citizens.
Safe City Virtual Women PS performance report
The performance report of the Safe City Virtual Women Police Station has been released. Women across the country filed 124,583 cases and resolved 109,444 ones through reconciliation or for other reasons. In response to women’s complaints, the police booked 12,341people. Some 132 attempted murder cases, 15 acid attack cases, and 5,724 FIRs related to other issues were filed. According to the spokesperson for Safe Cities, women are receiving daily guidance from the Women police.
24,589 power thieves arrested
Lahore Police have booked 25,764 and detained 24,589 suspects on charges of stealing electricity this year so far. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana termed power thieves as national thieves, who deserve no leniency. He asked cops to support Lesco in holding electricity thieves accountable.
