LAHORE:A delegation of District Faisalabad Bar Association led by President (PLF Punjab) Raheel Kamran Cheema called on Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at Governor's House on Tuesday.
Talking to the delegates, the governor said the role of lawyers in ensuring political and constitutional stability, and restoring democracy in the country is commendable. He said the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has never been a part of any 'illegal' amendment and will never be a part of it.
The governor said every section of society has to play a positive role for the betterment of the country. The lawyers apprised the governor about the formation of a separate High Court Bench for Faisalabad Division and other issues faced by the Bar.
The governor assured them that he would talk to the quarters concerned for the establishment of the High Court Bench. The lawyers invited the governor to visit the Faisalabad Bar Association and the governor accepted the invitation.
