Unicef promises cooperation for refugees’ welfare

Islamabad: A meeting took place on Monday between the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund’s (Unicef) team and Shakeel Mohammad Khan Safi, the Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, to discuss Unicef’s ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting Afghan refugees, particularly in the areas of education, health, and child protection.
The Unicef team pledged full cooperation to enhance activities within refugee communities. Both organisations said they were committed to collaborating for the welfare of Afghan refugees and improving their quality of life. They said the partnership between Unicef Pakistan and UNHCR Pakistan aims to safeguard the rights of refugees and foster positive change in their lives.
