Hunger strike backed
LAHORE
Millat-e-Jafria Lahore has announced its complete support for a hunger strike of head of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), Allama Raja Nasir Abbas against target killings in the country.
According to a press release issued here Friday, in the support of Allama Raja Nasir Abbas’s hunger strike, banners and placards were displayed outside different mosques on Friday. Prayer leaders in their sermons also condemned target killings in the country. It said that prayer leaders also urged people to rally in support of MWM’s hunger strike.
The press release stated that leaders also condemned different events of target killings carried out in different parts of the country and demanded strict action against the perpetrators. It also stated that a protest rally would be taken out from Lahore Press Club till Assembly Hall on Sunday (tomorrow).
