Jimmy promoting Pak image abroad

World renowned Pakistani artist and social crusader Jimmy Engineer has reiterated that he takes pride in calling himself  the Servant of Pakistan as well as its unofficial goodwill ambassador.

“My motherland has given me immense love, recognition, reputation and fame which I’m trying to repay by promoting soft, moderate, progressive, forward-looking and positive image of Pakistan and its people before the comity of nations while interacting with people and displaying my creative art in foreign countries,” he said.

In periodic telephone conversation with his journalist friends, Jimmy Engineer said that during the last couple of years he had held record number of eight international art shows, both solo and group exhibitions, in the US, Germany, Thailand, Egypt, Indonesia, Britain, Dubai, Sri Lanka and displayed his original creative work as well as prints of his famous Pakistan Movement series of paintings.

He said that he was working on plans to organise more solo exhibitions of his creative art around the world.

About his artistic achievements so far, Jimmy Engineer said that he had been creating art in all forms for more than four decades and Pakistan Movement series of paintings as well as the mural of “Javid Namah” had given him recognition, fame and reputation within Pakistan and also internationally.

Replying to questions about his activities as a social crusader, he said that he had introduced not only walk culture in the country but also been organising awareness, fun and food programmes for mentally-retarded, physically-handicapped, deaf and dumb children.

He said that he had undertaken numerous walks, mostly solo, for various noble and social causes and organised more than 100 programmes for special children whose cause was very near and dear to his heart.

He said that he would talk in some detail about the activities as a social crusader some other time. He said he had dedicated his life to Pakistan and its people particularly the destitute and the special children.
