The funeral prayers for traffic police constable Khuda Bakhsh were held at the Police Headquarters Garden on Sunday.
Meanwhile, police registered a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act against unidentified suspects and also obtained CCTV footage that showed the suspects killing the constable after snatching his official pistol.
While performing duty at Shershah RD Chowk, the assailants attempted to snatch his pistol, upon which, the constable fiercely resisted, capturing one of the attackers. However, the second attacker opened fire, and the constable embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
A special contingent of the Sindh police paid tribute to the martyr with a salute and laid a wreath of flowers. The funeral was attended by Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho, DIG Traffic Karachi Ahmed Nawaz and other police officers who stated that the martyred constable was a valuable asset of the Sindh police.
