Pak-Iran cooperation crucial for regional stability, says Sharjeel

A ceremony was held at the Iranian consulate in Karachi to commemorate the month of Rabiul Awwal.

The event was hosted by Iranian Consul General Hassan Nourian. Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, along with ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Syed Zulfikar Shah and others participated in the event.

Addressing the event, Memon said Rabiul Awwal was the month in which Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born, due to which it was very important to the Muslims.

He said the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), centered on compassion, justice and unity. He added that Pakistan-Iran relations were deep and enduring, as they were founded on a shared cultural heritage, mutual respect and cooperation.

Memon was of the view that the shared experiences of our people through art, music, and literature promoted mutual understanding, and through the promotion of artistic expression and educational initiatives, we could strengthen foster respect.

Pakistan-Iran cooperation was not only crucial for promoting regional stability but also for advancing agricultural expertise, resource exchange and modern knowledge, he remarked, adding that the challenges of malnutrition could be addressed through collective action.
