Power supply normal across city: KE
Karachi
K-Electric, in a statement issued on Friday, clarified that the utility was maintaining regular supply of power across the city.
The statement reiterated that there had been no increase in the loadshedding duration and that no unannounced loadshedding was being carried out in the city.
The statement explained that local faults result in outages due to excessive use of illegal hook connections, which increase the load on the PMTs and cause feeder tripping and technical faults.
It maintained that KE teams work round the clock to address faults and these outages should not be confused with loadshedding
When informed of certain areas being devoid of power for almost three hours yesterday, a KE spokesman, Sheeraz Mohiuddin, said the issue “must be due to some fault”.
