Pakistan women depart for T20 World Cup
LAHORE: The Pakistan women’s team is all set to depart for Dubai on Monday (today) to participate in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. All players and officials reported to a local hotel on Sunday.
Before the commencement of the main tournament, the Pakistani women’s team will play two warm-up matches. The first warm-up match is scheduled for September 28 against Scotland, followed by a match against Bangladesh on September 30.
Pakistan have been placed in Group A with India, Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. Pakistan’s first match in the tournament will be against Sri Lanka on Thursday, October 3. Their second match will be a highly anticipated clash against their arch-rivals, India, on Sunday, October 6. The Pakistani team will then face Australia on Friday, October 11, and conclude their group stage matches against New Zealand on Monday, October 14.
