LAHORE : DIG Operations M Faisal Kamran said police took stringent security measures for the PTI’s public gathering.
More than 12,000 police officers and officials were deputed for the security of the participants. DIG Operations said the maintenance of law and order and the protection of citizens was the first priority of police. At least 1,002 upper subordinates were deployed under the supervision of 15 SPs, 63 DSPs, 165 SHOs/Inspectors while 324 lady officials were also on duty for checking the female participants. M Faisal Kamran said that Dolphin Squad teams ensured effective patrolling of the cities adjacent to the meeting place with the help of Safe City cameras.
