Islamabad : The long due development work on a housing scheme of the Supreme Court Bar Association and Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), located on Park Road kicked off here on Friday.
The housing scheme is being developed as a ‘Joint Venture’ between the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA).
Out of total of 4,781 residential plots, there will 2,088 plots for the FGEHA and remaining have been given to members of SCBA who are senior lawyers community.
The housing scheme namely ‘Margalla Orchards’ is spanning over an area of 8,380 kanals and it was launched jointly by FGEHA and SCBA while it is being developed by the DHA, Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, the SCBA general secretary Ali Imran thanked Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Naqvi and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar for taking special interest in start of development activity and resolving outstanding issue.
He assured that all affectees who were land owners of villages where the land had been acquired for the housing scheme would be compensated properly.
