The ongoing wave of loadshedding in Khairpur has left its people feeling downcast and helpless, compounding their many other woes. Many consumers have been complaining about the electricity crisis and protesters have taken place due to soaring power rates. Khairpur's residents already contend with bad traffic, water scarcity and a poor sewerage and sanitation system. Now, frequent power cuts have been added to the list. Loadshedding has made life difficult, especially for working-class individuals who cannot afford alternative arrangements like a UPS. We urge the concerned authorities to devise an effective strategy to tackle this issue promptly.
