7kg of charas seized

MANSEHRA: Lower Kohistan police on Friday seized 7kg of charas and arrested many narcotics peddlers.

A press release issued by the Lower Kohistan police said that an anti-narcotics operation was well underway across the district by order of District Police Officer Mohammad Umar and police seized huge quantities of charas, ice and other contraband and arrested drug pushers.

A police party led by the SHO Pattan Sardar Shah raided a narcotic den, arrested Shamsur Rehman and Noor Mohammad and seized 2kg of charas and 90 grams of ice from their possessions.

In another raid carried out by SHO Dubair Israr Ahmad Khan, a police party seized 5kg of charas and arrested a narcotics peddler.The press release further said that the operation would continue across the district until police could secure youngsters from those drug peddlers.
