Punjab Junior Tennis finals today
LAHORE: The finals of Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2024, taking place at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy, Nishtar Park, will be held on Saturday (today).
In the Senior 55+ Doubles Final, Rashid Malik and Arif Feroze defeated Waqar Nisar and Ch. Amir with a flawless score of 8-0. In the Senior 45+ Doubles Final, Talha Waheed and Shehryar Salamat secured victory against Hassan Said and Qadir Nawaz, winning 6-1, 6-0.
In the Senior 65+ Doubles Semifinal, Shahid Waqar and Mobeen Malik triumphed over M. Babar and Imtiaz, 8-4. In the Boys U-18 Doubles Final, Abu Bakar Talha and Haider Ali Rizwan claimed the title after defeating Asad Zaman and Abdur Rehman with a score of 4-0 (retired).
In the Girls U-18 Semifinal, Bismel Zia cruised past Sapna Karim, winning 6-1 to secure her spot in the final. In the Boys U-16 Semifinals, Abdur Rehman outplayed Aalay Hussain with a 6-2 scoreline. Muhammad Huzaima emerged victorious against Abdullah Pir Zada in a closely contested match, winning 7-6.
