ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party on Thursday clarified that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari did not tell Maulana Fazlur Rehman that the approval of constitutional amendments was a compulsion.
Bilawal’s spokesperson Murtaza Wahab, clarifying the statement of JUIF Senator Kamran Murtaza, said Bilawal was only responsible for his draft regarding constitutional courts instead of other proposals. “I myself attended the meeting with Fazl on Saturday. Kamran must have had a misunderstanding,” he said, adding that Bilawal discussed establishment of constitutional courts with Fazl. “Bilawal and Fazl are on the same page regarding most of the points of the proposed constitutional amendments.”
