LAHORE: Pakistan’s Shahzaib Rind has made history by winning the World Karate Combat Light Heavyweight Championship in Singapore, becoming the first martial arts world champion from Pakistan. Rind, hailing from Balochistan, defeated Brazilian rival Luiz Victor Rocha in the final.
Rind took to Facebook to share his excitement, expressing immense pride in his achievement: “I am proud to be the first World Champion from Pakistan in Martial Arts. History has been made! It has been a long and challenging journey, but we did it.” He extended his gratitude to those who supported him along the way: “It means the world to me.”
