Karachi, Pakistan's economic hub, is bursting at the seams. Unchecked urbanization has transformed this one vibrant city into a chaotic metropolis. The population has swelled from 1.4 million in 1951 to over 20 million today. This has overwhelmed infrastructure, created housing shortages, strained resources and increased poverty.
To mitigate the damage, we must enforce urban planning regulations, invest in infrastructure, promote exclusive development, foster public-private partnerships and empower local governance. The future of Karachi hangs in the balance. It's time for collective action to save the city.
