LWMC intensifies cleaning operations
LAHORE:The officials of the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) ramped up cleaning operations across the city in connection with Eid Milad celebrations.
Under the guidance of LWMC Chief Executive Officer Babar Saheb Din, 214 mosques were washed and more than 800 sanitary workers have been deployed to manage cleanliness around mosques, Milad gatherings and processions routes.
Krishna Nagar, Islampura Bazaar, Alamgir Road, and Mohini Road areas have been the main focus of special cleanliness drive of the LWMC authorities. Areas of Fort Road, Bhati Gate, Urdu Bazaar, and Gawalmandi Bazaar were also cleaned. Mechanical sweeping of major roads was also conducted as part of the comprehensive cleaning process. The LWMC CEO emphasised that providing a clean environment to Lahorites is his top priority.
