The menace of ghost teachers is one of the factors behind the tattered state of our education system. These teachers never show up to do their duty but continue to draw their salaries from the public coffers. These absent teachers are ruining the future of their students by not teaching classes and inflicting colossal financial losses on our already strained economy by drawing salaries every month for a job they do not perform. The education authorities need to wake up from their deep slumber and take action against such teachers.
