ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar held a consultative meeting with Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto at the Parliament House on Sunday.
The meeting focused on proposed constitutional amendments.
Later, Senator Ishaq Dar told the media informally that the meeting with Bilawal was good. He said the law minister was in a better position to respond to any questions about the amendments. However, Law Minister Azam Tarar said the committee would decide on the constitutional amendment. After that, the constitutional amendments would be brought first to the cabinet, then to the house.
Later, on Saturday evening, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan also held a detailed meeting with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his chamber in the Parliament House. Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab was also present.
Meanwhile, Bilawal-Bhutto Zardari chaired a joint meeting of the PPP parliamentary party on Sunday in which all members of the National Assembly and Senate participated. He informed the participants about the party’s action plan and gave instructions on the party policy.
