PESHAWAR: The Regi Model Town Police Station in the provincial capital was attacked with rockets late Sunday night.
An official said two rockets were fired at the police station in the Regi Model Town, a posh township on the outskirts of the provincial capital.
The rockets damaged the wall of the police station but no casualty was reported. The official said policemen in the building were alert who retaliated and repulsed the attack amid heavy firing. He added that search operation was launched in the area after the attack.
The same police station had come under attack many times with grenades and automatic weapons in the recent months. Police stations and posts have come under attack frequently in Peshawar and many other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the recent months.
