The issue of Balochistan is neither new nor understood. Most people are unable to point out the actual issues causing the problem. Balochistan is the most underdeveloped and deprived province of the country. Apart from Quetta, one cannot find any other major urban station in Balochistan. From communication to education, all departments are unable to perform the way they should be and meet a good standard. The people of the province have also been deprived of their fundamental rights, leading to widespread alienation.
To make things better, the legitimate concerns and needs of the people have to be addressed through the provision of better infrastructure, quality education, rule of law and other basic amenities. It is also important for the people of the province to have a bigger stake in national development projects. These are problems that require a political solution as opposed to an iron fist.
