HARIPUR: Two passengers were killed and two others sustained injuries when a van rammed into a truck in Hattar Industrial Estate, police officials said on Saturday.
The cause of the accident, according to police, was reckless driving by the van driver. The officials quoted injured and witnesses as saying that a Suzuki van carrying workers of a local battery manufacturing unit was on its way to the factory when the driver lost control of the steering and the vehicle rammed into a truck parked on the roadside.
As a result of which two workers died on the spot due to head injuries while two others sustained injuries. The rescue workers shifted the dead and injured to the Trauma centre.
