FCPS MOs to be posted at DHQs

Primary and Secondary Health Punjab  Secretary Ali Jan Khan has said that postings of all medical officers as consultants who have completed their FCPS should be ensured in district headquarters hospitals. 

Chairing a meeting, he also directed the officers concerned to focus on monitoring and follow-up to complete development schemes and new initiatives.

Health Director General Dr Mukhtar Hussain Syed, Policy and Strategic Planning Unit Director Muhammad Khan Ranjha, Additional Secretary Admin Adnan Zafar and other senior officers of the department attended the meeting. 

A briefing was given to the meeting on the implementation status of new initiatives and developmental schemes. The meeting was informed that Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department would finalise the lists after NTS tests for the admission of nurses in non-teaching DHQ hospitals. It was also informed that 100 senior medical officers/medical officers were being selected for six week medico-legal training from district and tehsil headquarters hospitals and RHCs. Moreover, mortuaries will be established in all the district headquarters hospitals in the next fiscal year. 

The meeting reviewed the anesthesia diploma programme, inspection of pharmaceutical units across the province, matters regarding the promotion of doctors from grade-18 to 19, formulation of comprehensive transfer policy for all cadre doctors and third party validation of bio-medical equipment. 

It was said that revamping of Medical Store Depot (MSD) had been planned with the help of USAID and PC-I of Rs.90 million had been prepared for the schemes. Moreover, PC-I for revamping of bio-medical workshop has also been prepared. The meeting reviewed the implementation of developmental work.

Meanwhile, a meeting of Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on dengue was held. The meeting chaired by Adviser to Chief Minister on Health Kh. Salman Rafique reviewed the dengue situation across Punjab.
