Private school’s watchman shot dead in North Nazimabad
A security guard shot dead a watchman in the North Nazimabad area on Friday. Police said the case came to surface after the body of a man, who had been shot, was found at a private school in North Nazimabad Block H.
Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Ali Raza, son of Zulfiqar Ali, who was working as a watchman at the private school and hailed from Mirpurkhas.
Police said a security guard Fahim, deployed by a private security company, shot and killed the watchman during an argument and fled. It is suspected that a physical fight broke out between the two after a verbal argument on the night between Thursday and Friday, in which the guard shot the watchman and fled the scene after discarding his uniform, belt and repeater gun near a water tank. The suspected security guard is originally from Rahim Yar Khan. Police have seized a 12-bore shell from the crime scene and sought the security guard's data from the security company.
