‘Healthy activities being promoted as in province’
LAHORE:Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial has said that Punjab Youth Affairs Department, under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is taking all possible measures for the promotion of healthy activities among the younger generation and development of sports culture across the province.
He said this while addressing a meeting of Departmental Scrutiny Committee at Punjab Stadium on Thursday in which 30 under-construction sports projects were reviewed in detail. DG Youth Affairs Punjab Pervez Iqbal, Additional Secretary Farhan Farooq, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, Deputy Director Tariq Khanzada, Planning Officer P&D Department Sania Sajid and Section Officer Finance Department Samina Jameel participated in the meeting.
Muzaffar Sial said that most of the construction work has been completed on six sports projects, including Sports Medicine Clinic Lahore, Football Ground Muridke, Tehsil Sports Complex Chunian, Kahuta Gymnasium Hall and Dhobi Ghat Football Ground, Murree. “The remaining construction work on these projects should be completed as early as possible,” he added.
He directed the officers concerned to personally review the construction work of 24 under construction projects and submit a report within 15 days. “Any negligence in the construction of these sports projects will not be tolerated,” he warned.
