The deputation practice has returned to the Department of Boards and Universities, despite explicit orders from the Supreme Court.
An official notification states that Dr Samar Raza Talpur, who is currently in charge of the Khairpur Campus of the IBA Sukkur, has been appointed as the chairman of the Mirpurkhas Education Board on a one-year deputation, under an on-gap arrangement.
Noteworthy ad-hocism has left Sindh’s eight school boards struggling with serious challenges. Delays in results, especially affecting intermediate tests across the province, are caused by these boards’ lack of permanent appointments for important positions such as chairman, secretary, exam moderators, and audit officers.
