Kundi says will write letter to PM on unrest, corruption in KP
CHARSADDA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said on Wednesday that he would soon write a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to inform him about the deteriorating law and order situation, corruption, and poor governance in the province.
He said this while talking to a delegation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Union of Journalists (KPUJ), led by its president Shams Momand. The delegation included elected members from the Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mohmand, Khyber and Waziristan press clubs.
Kundi said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had lost the trust of the assembly, and that he was considering it to officially ask him to seek a vote of confidence. “However, no final decision has been made yet in this connection,” he explained.
The governor pinpointed the worsening security situation in the province, saying that government officials in the southern districts had been advised not to travel in official or private vehicles.
“There is even consideration of relocating government offices from Tank to somewhere else,” Kundi said, adding that the deteriorating law and order situation was due to the incompetent, incapable, and corrupt rulers imposed on the province.
He claimed that healthcare, education and law and order in the province were getting worse with each passing day due to inefficiency of rulers in the province. He said that the sale of land from any university in the province, including Mardan, will not be allowed.
Earlier, the head of the delegation introduced the members of his organization and delegation to the governor and highlighted the challenges faced by journalists in the province. The governor assured the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Union of Journalists of full cooperation from the Governor’s House and the federal government.
