CM Khailta Punjab Games to have Rs80m prize money
LAHORE:The cash prizes of more than Rs80 million will be distributed among the participating players in the Chief Minister Khailta Punjab Games, the biggest games in the history of Punjab province.
DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal shared this information while addressing a meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. Multiple aspects, features and preparations relating to CM Khailta Punjab Games were discussed in the meeting.
Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Director Sports Yasmeen Akhtar, Deputy Directors Zahoor Ahmed, Ata ur Rehman and other officials participated in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, DG Youth Affairs Punjab said that the Khailta Punjab Games will be organised in accordance with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. “The mega event of Khailta Punjab Games will start in the last week of this month,” he said.
He informed that more than 5,000 players from Punjab’s registered clubs will also participate in these games. “The thrilling competitions of Khailta Punjab Games will be conducted from inter-tehsil to provincial level”.
Revealing more details of the event, he said that the events of twelve games will be conducted at district and divisional level. “The competitions of six games - athletics, cricket, badminton, football, hockey and kabaddi will be organised at the tehsil level”.
